Can we appreciate for a moment that somebody finally exploited the pun of an alligator and detective as a character? That's right; anybody could be amused by the fact that this game is called BROK the InvestiGator, a fighting adventurer who goes out and solves the mysteries of life. So it's safe to say the title of this game has already caught attention, so what can we expect from the upcoming gameplay?

We haven't played the game ourselves yet. Still, the trailers and screens certainly give us an understanding of BROK the InvestiGator. It will be a point-and-click adventure game with some beat-em-up combat and RPG progression mechanics. Yes, that's a lot of genre-crossing, but anything's possible with an alligator detective, right?

Animals Commit Crimes, Too

You'd feel a name like BROK the InvestiGator would be a Saturday morning cartoon. Well, funny, you should think that because the game looks like one, the developers have taken aesthetical inspiration from such. The title's visuals reminisce both the cartoons of the 80s and 90s, providing a classic, narrative-driven point-and-click world.

However, you're not just going to be sitting around clicking a few things and navigating dialogue options. Players must get their hands dirty in combat scenes using their beat-em-up skills. They will also have to strategize their approach to crime-solving with the RPG mechanics to hone their skills.

BROK the InvestiGator allows players to use brains or brawn in their game. You can choose to be the genius crime solver or select the violent path threatening everything that gets in your way. It's an exciting concept mixed with an interface that looks like a children's educational game, making this title wilder. This animals-only world is relentless, and someone must do the dirty work!

Without getting some gameplay in, we can't say much more about how BROK the InvestiGator will pan out. Perhaps the visuals remind you of the last game's backdrop. But the most straightforward way we can describe this upcoming title is that it's a point-and-click adventure game on steroids.

We're not sure how the game will end up quite yet, but the wackiness of the idea is already reeling us in. It doesn't seem there's going to be a moment's peace in this weird, animal-filled world, and for many adventure gamers, that will be just fine. We'll keep BROK the InvestiGator on our radar and build on our curiosities.
