Brons Quest

It is a shame there is not more stuff out there about Brons Quest as it is one of the funnier visual novel games I have played. This is a game that is funded via Patreon and as I write this the game is technically still in its beta and it is going to be released in chapters. The thing is, I do not think there have been any updates for the game in a very long time so who knows if we will ever get to the end of this ridiculous adventure.

Ugh, My Head!

What I think makes this such a fun visual novel to play is the character of Bron himself. At the start of Brons Quest, you wake up with a pounding headache, a lack of memory of the events from the night before and you are pretty sure someone has stolen the gold you had on you.

Your friend Erin, wakes you up and you end up taking on various quests, most of which you cannot be bothered to do. The game is all about having fun and it is very, very self-aware. There are many moments when the game breaks the fourth wall and it will actually make you laugh. My only complaint is that so far the story is not complete and it looks like it might never be!

The visual style of Brons Quest is very well done. The game has a comic book kind of style and the characters all have a fantasy/anime kind of vibe going on which is something that I do like. The game also has a lot of sex scenes in it and these are quite well done, but I think a bit of animation would have made things better. To be fair the game is still in its beta stage so if it does get finished, these sex scenes could have animation.

The sound design of the game is kind of just there. It is not overly abrasive or anything like that, but it is pretty much forgettable once you have finished the game. From what I can tell, full voice acting is something that is intended, but it is not there yet.

Can I Please Have Five Minutes???

Poor Bron, it is like the dude cannot walk ten feet without someone needing him to do something for them. That is basically what the game is all about, Bron gets pulled into quest after quest. Brons Quest does actually give you quite a few choices to make as you play the game.

These are not just limited to the quests that you will be doing, you also get to make choices when the sex scenes are happening too.

Pros:

• I thought Bron was a funny character
• Plenty of choices for you to make
• The game breaks the fourth wall all the time
• It is very funny
• Lots of hot characters!

Cons:

• The game looks like it will never be finished
• The music is pretty much instantly forgettable
