Bullet Girls Phantasia

Bullet Girls Phantasia is a fairly simple game with strong erotic elements and a very simple design. The story opens with the main character, Aya Honomoto is a member of a ranger team, practicing on a military base with various weapons to prepare for a shooting event. A portal opens up and sucks her and her companions into a fantasy world where their weapons become live.

They now have the mission of defeating the monster terrorizing the people of the world they find themselves in, as well as going back home. There’s nothing exciting in terms of plot, but it isn’t painful to read either.

So-So Graphics

The graphics in the game are a mixed bag. The main characters are fairly well done, with smooth animations that flatter the characters. Unfortunately the backgrounds, enemies, and everything else didn’t get the same attention.

Poor AI

Vast swaths of enemies coming at you? Not to worry. Even if your Bullet Girl is only armed with a simple handgun you probably won’t have that much difficulty taking them on. That’s because the AI controlling the monsters is extremely dumb.

Enemies would simply try to take the most direct path to you and struggle to find a path, bullets went clean through walls, and even boss mobs didn’t get smarter during fights.

Repetitive Levels

While monsters do get more powerful over time, all of the missions are essentially the same. A wave of monsters come at you and you must defeat them all. The lack of variety can really get dull over time, especially when the only graphics that have any polish to them are the characters.

The game is very similar to how another game by the same developer, Earth Defense Force, is set up. The main difference is simply that in this one there are sexy girls running the show instead of normal characters.

English Translation available

One of the nicer parts of this game is that it does have a full English translation. While there are some translation errors, it’s not common for this sort of game to have a full English translation at all, so even one with errors is appreciated.

Lewd Elements

The game offers an additional mode, “Interrogation Training” where the player can tease a character sexually with ice pops, spanking hands, and more. The mode additionally offers a first person mode, where a character gets teased from a first-person perspective, by another character.
