I love a good Android game and Criminal Case is one of the best I have played in a while. This is a free to play game that I spent a ton to time playing while waiting for my son to get out of karate class. Let me tell you, I got so into this game that I am actually thinking I should maybe start moonlighting as a master detective!
Crime Does Not Pay
The idea of Criminal Case is that you have joined the police force of a place called, Grimsborough. This place has had a few murders take place here and it is up to you in order to put a stop to it! The police department here is overwhelmed and only you and the rest of the team can stop the killer in their tracks.
The story and the overall presentation are rather basic and I did not really find myself caring about the story as I played. However, what I feel the game does well is at the very least. It gives you a point of letting you know why you are doing what you are doing and that does help push you along. Some “cases” I found to be more interesting than others in terms of the story behind them and also the way that they looked.
All Aspects Of Police Work
One of the coolest things about Criminal Case and what makes it one of the more addictive Android games is what it wants you to do. If I had to put the game into one “style” I would say it is a hidden object style game, but there is more to it than that. You start off by looking over the crime scene for the evidence of what went down. This is way harder than you would think and they have been very clever with how they have hidden some of the items.
You can then examine the items and analyze the evidence which is a lot of fun to do and also helps flesh out the story. It all leads to you pulling in a suspect, interviewing them and capturing you who think is the killer. There is a nice amount of challenge here and you can get various things to “help” you as you play. Of course, you can also use real money to help you if you want, but I never once felt the need to do this. I was pleasantly surprised at the depth of the gameplay and I can easily see why this is so popular.
I was very impressed with Criminal Case for Android. For a free to play game, it has a lot to keep you busy. If you like puzzle/hidden object style games, you will enjoy this. the extra “police work” that it makes you do is a very nice cherry on top of the murder filled cake that makes the game even more addictive. I found myself very addicted to this and if you want a game with more substance that you can play while on the toilet, waiting for the kids or even to make the workday more interesting, you have to check this one out.
