Mad Island

Watching the trailer of Mad Island and playing it are quite different experiences. The trailer I dare say does not actually do the game justice at all and it is far better than I thought it was going to be. This is a lewd survival game and it is way more feature packed than I thought it was going to be. Not only that, I was very surprised by the diversity in how you can make your character be. I have a feeling that many people will play this for five minutes and decide it is not for them. But if you can stick with it, you may find this to be just as addictive as I did.

Shipwrecked

The premise of Mad Island is that we are on some kind of fancy boat and it ends up hitting a huge ass rock and we are shipwrecked. The trailer for this game when I saw the shipwreck scene legit made me laugh as it was so over the top. Now the game has two protagonists, a man and a woman, you start off as the woman, but you eventually find the man and then things really open up. We are basically trying to find our friends and then get off the island, but we are not the only people on this island.

Happy Camper/Crazy Cannibal?

The most surprising aspect of Mad Island for me is the way the story can so radically different. The natives on this island can be basically yours to try and romance and help or to eat and just have sex with no matter if they want it or not. I was shocked at how brutal you could be in this game, but that did not appeal to me so I tried to play it more as a good and chill guy. However, I can see the fun in playing as a total psycho who just does whatever the heck they want. I would not say that the game is super story driven, it is more about you creating your own story and experience to live through.

Island Life Is Tough

The depth of the gameplay on offer in Mad Island was very impressive and to be honest with you, the version I have played is an early access version. This is a survival game where you need to do stuff like fish, grow food, build, expand, fight, and of course have lots and lots of sex. There is always something that needs your attention in this game and if it sounds too overwhelming do not worry, that is where the island natives come into play. You can either make them your slaves and rule with an iron fist, or you can get to know them and grow a community. I found the whole experience to be addictive and interesting and I am very interested to see what they add to the game as even in early access there is a great deal of content here already.

Drawn to Life!

They have gone for a bright and colorful art style with Mad Island and I think that suits the game very well. Things are drawn really well and you do actually have a decent level of customization that you can play around with here. There is a lot of diversity to the characters too from giant Amazon babes to mermaids with huge boobs. The sex in the game is funny, it is super energetic and feels kind of over the top, but I got a real kick out of it. I am not 100 percent certain of this, but I got the impression the more I played the game that the developer was going for a real tongue in cheek style with this game as far as the presentation goes.

Pros:

• I liked the premise of being stuck on the island
• The way you treat the natives adds diversity and replay value
• There is a lot to do to keep your village running
• The game is a lot of fun

Cons:

• Some of the XXX content is weird
• I do wonder what more they will add to the game as it is further developed
