Pro Evolution Soccer 2017, also known as PES 2017, is a soccer simulation video game that’s part of the PES series. With new games releasing every year, the PES series is one of the most popular sports video game series in the world, and if you give the game a go you’ll know exactly why. Not only is the game’s realism on another level from its predecessors, but its mechanics and user interface have also seen an upgrade. Now that the scene is set, let’s jump into a look at some of what you can expect when you download Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 and play it for the first time.
Licensed teams and leagues
Although PES 2017 features plenty of unlicensed teams with fake names that are based on real-life equivalents, the publisher Konami managed to secure a few partnerships with some well-known soccer clubs. This means that certain real-life teams such as FC Barcelona, Liverpool F.C., and Borussia Dortmund, all make an appearance in the game with realistic kits and player character models. Konami also secured multiple full and partial partnerships with various leagues. You can expect to come across the UEFA Champions League, AFC Champions League, and the Brazilian League, among others. Though the complete list of partnerships isn’t as impressive as the one for FIFA 17 for example, it’s still cool nonetheless.
Adaptive AI and smart goalkeeping
PES 2017 is the first game in the series to feature adaptive AI, meaning computer-controlled opponents will learn from your playstyle and react accordingly to make things more challenging. If you’re used to relying on one tactic all the time to score goals, the AI will learn to counter it, so you’re gonna have to switch it up and try new things.
In addition to the awesome new adaptive AI feature, goalkeeping is more realistic than ever too. Keepers have a range of new movements and animations compared to previous games in the series, so don’t expect to get past them as easily as before. Though these new features make the game slightly more challenging, they make success even more rewarding too, so we’re sure you’ll love them.
Realistic mechanics and visuals
Perfect ball physics are important for making a good sports simulation game, and PES 2017 hits the nail on the head here. First touches and passes feel so realistic and satisfying to perform, and you’ll be surprised at how many unique motions you can make players do when controlling the ball. The realistic physics are complemented by the fantastic graphics too, making for an incredibly immersive experience that you’re sure to love.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 builds upon the success of its predecessors with new teams and features never seen before in the PES series. It’s unique, innovative, and so much fun to play with friends, so we’d highly recommend you check the game out yourself and give it a go.
