Real Madrid: The Game is a sports game that puts you on one of the best football teams in the world. Players can choose to add iconic football players from the Real Madrid team, while playing themselves as a unique but unknown football star.
Standard Football Game
The game has all the usual features of a football game. Players must help their teammates rise to success through various competitions. A notable feature includes a power bar, that helps players understand how hard their kick will be. Players must work with their team to win games so that their team can win the championship. The game also promises to give players a look at what it’s like to be a star player off the field too. There are different modes that allow you to have balanced gameplay.
Poor Graphics
This game doesn’t have the best graphics out there, even for a sports game. The animations in particular are bad. Soccer players going through the motions often don’t look quite right, even as they’re passing a ball or trying to block. The details of the players are good enough to make out who they might be on the Real Madrid team, and the backdrop of the stadium is also reasonable. Although the graphics aren’t the best, it’s important to remember this is an older game. Compared to other games made around the same time, these graphics are average.
Decent Sound
While the graphics aren’t the greatest, the sound does make up for it. Fans in the crowd chant and cheer, Gary Linekar and Barry Davies do the commentary. They sound professional and realistic. There are also commentators available in other languages.
Nothing Special
Real Madrid: The Game has all the usual bells and whistles for a sports game. There is a career mode, fairly good gameplay, and a crowd to cheer you on. It doesn’t offer anything unique or special that takes it above and beyond other games.
It’s very similar to an early version of EA’s FIFA games, such as FIFA Football 2005. If you have a more modern version of the game, you probably have more features and better graphics compared to Real Madrid: The Game What it does offer is the chance to play on the famous Real Madrid team, and to see the likeness of your favorite players playing alongside you.
There are other football games who do what Real Madrid: The Game does but better. If you’re hoping for new features or exciting gameplay, this is probably not the game for you. What it does offer is a unique experience playing on a specific team.
If you’re a big fan of the Real Madrid and want to immerse yourself in that team spirit, playing Real Madrid: The Game may be worth it to you. As long as you’re prepared for all the quirks of an older game, it may be worth a try.
