SpellMaster: The Saga

It is amazing to think that SpellMaster: The Saga has been made by a team of just two developers! This is an open world fantasy RPG and it is clearly made as a love letter to some of the classic RPGs of the past. I wanted to take a closer look at this game and share with you some of the main features that it has. This is a game that is creating a bit of a stir from RPG enthusiasts, I know that a couple of my buddies are very, very high on what this game is offering. The people behind the game were heavily inspired by the gothic series and that is very cool.

Stopping The Dark Gods!

The story of SpellMaster: The Saga is pretty cool and like something that would be in an epic fantasy movie. Our main character is just a normal sorcerer who is just starting out on their journey of becoming a powerful sorcerer.

Well, they are thrust into chaos as a group of dark gods are planning to invade and now our sorcerer must find a way to save the land and also build and manage the magic academy so that there are more sorcerers and warriors to fight off the incoming threat.

Taking Your Own Path

The developers have gone above and beyond to make this as big an open world as they could. SpellMaster: The Saga features a ton of quests for you to go on and while you do have that main story arc, this game lets you forge your own path for forward in the way you go about doing things. You get to make various choices as you progress on your adventure and these can change how things happen as you go forward.

A Master Craftsman

One area of SpellMaster: The Saga that I am very excited about is the crafting. You can find items and craft all kinds of cool stuff. You can create new equipment for yourself, elixirs to give you buffs and you can even make new magic scrolls which I am most excited about. The twist though is the magic academy aspect. You get to construct and manage a magic academy and this is part of the gameplay that I think makes this game so very interesting.

A Warrior With A Heart

As you would expect from an RPG, especially one that is based on the Gothic series. Combat in the game is going to be a great deal of fun. You do not just mash buttons here, depending on what kind of weapon you have, the way you go about combat will differ. This is something I think is pretty cool as it makes getting a new weapon even more exciting.

I love fantasy RPGs and as someone who has spent a lot of time with the Gothic series which greatly inspired this, I am all in on what SpellMaster: The Saga is offering.
