This Romantic World

While I thought that This Romantic World was a decent lewd visual novel, I do think that with a little bit more work, it could have been great. One of the things that got me excited about checking this out was the fact that this had a completed tag on it! I love it when I discover a lewd game late and it has been completed. This is also based on some kind of comic book series that I will be honest and say I had never heard of, which actually might explain one or two of the complaints that I have about the game.

Switching Things Up!

That pun is so bad and predictable that I deserve to be sent to the “penitentiary”. Ok, I will stop, let's get back to talking about This Romantic World. Anyway, the plot here has us playing as a dude called Isacc. Isacc is a good looking guy and all he wants to do is bang every girl in town, he’s a saint I tell you, a saint! Anyway, his quest is added by this purple as Grimace hottie called Switch who is from an XXX comic book.

The premise of This Romantic World is kind of fun and at the end of the day, the impression I got from the story was that it was not supposed to be taken too seriously. There is not much depth here at all. Isacc will chat with a girl and end up having to do something for her and then they will have sex. He does not really want to be tied down and just goes from girl to girl. I think that if each girl or at least a few of them got a bit more development, it would have made the story much more engaging as a result.

Doing The Deed

One thing I will say about This Romantic World that might be a plus for many people is that this is a very simple game to play. You make various choices as you move through the story, but I found it very, very easy to know what to say or do in order to get the desired outcome. I do feel that the game along with the story is very linear and while I was ok with it, at the same time I could completely understand why someone else may find it a bit lacking and lose interest, however, there could be a saving grace here!

This Romantic World is a great looking game! While I have not followed the comic book series it is based on, I had a quick look and feel like the art stays true to the source material here. We have a great selection of hot looking girls and the XXX content comes at you fast which is great. It makes up for the rather shallow plot to be honest with you. Some of the scenes even have animation (all be it rather basic) and when you get one like that it is pretty awesome.

Pros:

• I liked Isacc and Switch as the two main characters
• The comic book art style was something that I really dug!
• This is a rather relaxing kind of game to have fun with
• I am sure if you are familiar with the comic book, it will be even better

Cons:

• The story for me was a bit simple
• There is not a great deal to the gameplay

This Romantic World is an erotic visual novel based on the comic book series of the same name. The plot of the game also contains references to the Switch comic book. The main character encounters a huge demonic creature by the will of fate. The demoness Switch makes a pact with Isaac Marax and helps him seduce any girl he wants. Where will fate lead the insatiable Isaac and his demonic essence.
