Hey, X-Men aficionados, here's another game based on those premiere Marvel super heroes. Take command of only one of the awesome six-some, the original mad dog-Wolverine! Magneto's back! And he has reinforcements, including Sabertooth.
With Fist and Claw
Wolverine sports side-view, 360 degree scrolling settings. The clever hero can leap, punch, and, of course, slash with his Adamantium claws, but his secret weapon is energy regeneration.
ProTip: Every swing of Wolverine's talons bums up his life line. Stick with a strong fist instead.
Before you exchange lacerations with Sabertooth you'll have to wend your way through his nine-level castle. And while the Mutants are taking pot shots at your metal-laced hide, you'll be hacked to bits by traps and snares. To say this game is tough would be like saying Magneto has a bad attitude.
- Look for continues in the maze.
- It's safest to simply avoid all opponents that aren't directly in your path.
- In Level Three, duck to avoid the swinging scythes.
Wolverine's voracious appetite is satiated by scarfing a double-decker hamburger or two and quaffing a few beverages. Although beer was his favorite brew in the comics, here he's developed a fondness for fruit drinks. Extra lives are also prime prizes. But the greatest catch of all is Havoc, an X-Men bench warmer who can take over when Wolverine's weak. He's stashed somewhere in Level Two.
Dragging His Tail
Wolverine makes a definite bid to join Spidey as one of the few successful comic-to-game translations, but be prepared for a challenge of heroic proportions. Wolverine requires precise controller moves and in some instances when you land on a bad guy he saps all your power. Although rough play control blunts Wolverine's bite, you may just find it a howling good time.

Sabretooth, a fierce mutant menace, is waiting to rip you into shreds! Use your indestructible adamantium claws to return the favor and destroy the plans of Magneto once and for all.
Fly through the air with the greatest of ease high above the ground. Try to build your berserker power!
Wolverine, one of the most popular members of Marvel Comics' famous X-Men, has leapt off the comic pages and into his very own video game. This savvy superhero embarks on a single-player, multi-level journey-for-justice across the United States and Japan. He runs, jumps, crawls, climbs, and, of course, uses his handy Admantium claws as he battles it out against the hideous forces of his arch enemy, Sabre-tooth. If our hero finds himself in a tight situation, he can call upon his fellow X-Men such as Cyclops, Longshot, Storm, and The Beast to lend a helping hand. In a dog-eat-dog world of criminals and superheroes, you don't mess with the Wolverine!
This was the title of an LJN, an American toy company and video game publisher, video game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. In this action side-scrolling game the player controls the popular Marvel Comics super hero and guides thim through different levels in an effort to defeat the villains, such as Magneto and Sabretooth, that had kidnapped Wolverine and imprisoned him on a deserted island.
The other characters of X-Men comix, such as Havok, Psylocke and Jubilee were hidden in secret places throughout the levels. When found they can offer player an aid or advice.
The basic moves in the game were jumping, punching, kicking and ducking. He could bring out his powerful claws, but every time the claws were used his energy runs out. Unlike many other Nintendo games, character in this game would have a few seconds of abilities such as invincibility, hero's energy went down quickly and only soft drinks and burgers (you can found them on your way through the level) will restore hero's health.
