Big Ambitions

I have to say that my interest in Big Ambitions is all down to my dad. Had he not randomly bought me a certain city building game for the snes back in 1992, I do not think I would have the love for these types of games that I do now. This is a very ambitious sim where the goal is to become the ultimate business tycoon and ultimately become a big deal in New York. I think that this is a game that has an absolute ton of potential and today I am taking a closer look at some of the key features the game has.

The Wolf Of Wall Street!

The whole premise of Big Ambitions is to become a New York City bigshot, but how you do this is ultimately up to you. Like most people, you start out small, perhaps with a small gift shop or perhaps you are running a fast-food joint. Eventually, you want to buy and absorb as much as you can so you can become a real tycoon and have your finger in a ton of different pies as you watch your money just grow and grow.

You Cannot Buy Time

“You cannot buy time” is actually a tagline that Big Ambitions is using and it is one that I feel is very clever as it is true. You can make all the money in the world, but you cannot come up with more time. While you are trying to grow your business empire in this game, you still have to make sure you are healthy and happy. You need to make sure you are eating, getting enough sleep, and so on. It is a delicate balancing act as if you party too hard, you may lose money, and if you work too hard, you may end up in an early grave!

Getting Big!

With a title like Big Ambitions, you know that you are trying to get to the very top of the business world. The thing is, you cannot do this alone. It is not just all about buying and selling in this game. You need to make sure that you have the right kind of infrastructure in place to keep your various interests ticking. This means having a warehouse to distribute anything that you are selling, hiring the right people to take care of things for you, and reinvesting the money you are making so that you can make that money work for you! There is way more to keep an eye on in this game than you would think!

The Party Pad

One thing that is very interesting about Big Ambitions is that you can buy a nice place to live, be it a fancy house or a loft in Manhattan. You can then fully furnish your place with cool stuff that you can buy! I love the idea of this as it gives you something to be working towards. In this regard, it kind of reminds me of a game called Youtubers Life. As well as making sure you are living it up large with your home, you can also make sure you have a set of badass wheels as well which is fun.

Pros:

• I just love the whole idea of this game
• Being a big shot money guy in New York is fun
• There is so much to do in this game, lots of fun ways to make money
• I like how it lets you spend your money on your home and cars!

Cons:

• You do need to be into sim games to be won over by this
• I have not heard anything of a Switch port for this, games like this are perfect for the Switch so I hope that it happens
