Demon King Domination

Look, Demon King Domination is a game that is very short like you can blow through this thing in 15 minutes kind of short. Yet instead of looking at that as a massive negative, I look at it as a positive. How many visual novel games have you played that just go on forever where you lose interest or forget what the hell happened? So, in that regard, I feel that the shorter length here is a bit of a positive.

The Power Of The King

The story of the game is a fantasy-style story about a demon king called, Malos. He is a big powerful being and as the name of the game, Demon King Domination suggests, he is out to dominate. He wants to wipe out the whole of humanity and lead a world full of darkness, but he is not going to have it all his own way.

You see a powerful princess called Dianne has stepped up and she is going to try and fight him to stop him from destroying all of humanity. I found the story to be pretty good and there are different endings, depending on what you do in the game.

Being Bad Looks So Good

There is not exactly a great deal to the presentation of Demon King Domination, but what is here is done very well. Mainly all you will be seeing is the Princess and the basic background. She is drawn very well and she looks powerful and sexy at the same time. There are different sex scenes that you can get depending on how the game goes.

One thing that I have to give the game two massive thumbs up for is the sound. Now the music is fine and fits in with the style of the game very well, but it is the voice acting that really stands out here. This game has full English voice acting and you would be amazed at just how much better that makes things. Both Dianne and Malos are voice acted and the actors do a damn fine job of bringing these characters to life.

Knowing Is Half The Battle

While I would say most people (myself included) would probably class Demon King Domination as a visual novel, reading is only part of what you have to do. Most of the actual gameplay on offer here is the battle with the Princess. You have four different things that you can do in the battle, attack, counter, heal and charge are the commands you can select.

It is more of a puzzle game than an actual battle as figuring out what Dianne is going to do and then reacting to it is what it is all about. Depending on how things go, you will get one of a few different endings. You can also unlock a hard mode where the game starts you off with only half health.

The thing is, you learn Dianne’s attack pattern after the first playthrough so the hard mode by the time you unlock it is pretty easy.

Pros:

• I liked both the hero and the villain
• It has some great lewd content
• The voice acting is well done and adds a lot to the game
• You can play it all in one sitting
• The whole package is very well done

Cons:

• It is very short
• I am not sure it is the kind of thing that you would go back to
