Doom Eternal

You know I read online that Doom Eternal is apparently too like Doom… what does that even mean? The reboot of Doom was a tremendous success and far better than even the most hardcore Doom fan thought it would be. Doom Eternal is shaping up to be even more awesome and over the top!

Enter Battlemode

The first thing I want to talk about in Doom Eternal is a new mode that sounds like it is going to be amazing and that is Battlemode. This is a multiplayer mode where one player takes on another two. The single-player gets to play as the badass Doomslayer and the other two get to play as demons.

It sounds like this is going to be a lot of fun. The demons may have special powers that they can use, but the Doomslayer has a huge arsenal of weapons to make use of as well as using the arena/level to their advantage.

Bigger, Better and More Badass

The story of Doom Eternal sounds like it is some pretty epic and sci-fi inspired stuff. The game, of course, sees you needing to put a stop to all the demons that are taking over. However, what makes the game so cool is that you go to different places. The most notable one that has gotten people freaking out is Phobos which was in the original Doom. Not only are there demons here the place is actually populated with people too which is very interesting. It is also said that the game will feature twice and many demons as the last Doom game did. This is great as the first Doom game was pretty stacked and not scared of throwing an army of demons your way!

What About The Guns?

Doom is known for having super powerful and fun to use guns and Doom Enteral is no different in that regard. There are some really cool new guns that you can use to put those demons in their place. Doom Guy can now use what is called an Arm Blade that he can use to spear demons! This is awesome and very satisfying when you blast a demon with it.

Another really fun weapon in the game is the Super Shotgun and its meat hook attachment! As well as having an awesome name, the meat hook attachment allows you to use it as a grappling hook which is handy for combat as well as getting around the level.

Doom Eternal is well and truly shaping up to be the biggest and best first-person shooter of 2019. This is a game that is all about balls to the wall action! The last Doom was awesome and it is fantastic to see that for the sequel they are not trying to reinvent the wheel. Instead, they are taking what made that Doom reboot great and expanding on it in every way you could imagine.

• The game seems to be more cinematic this time around
• Even more, demons to kill
• Battlemode sounds like a ton of fun
• The presentation is very slick

• Will the story run too long?
• Will there be annoying platform sections?
