Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is a game that has been on my radar for quite some time. Amazingly, this is made by just a couple of people!

Finding The Best Powder

I have long been a fan of snowboarding (skiing is here too) from Coolboarders to 1080 Snowboarding to Amped to SSX and to Steep, I have always enjoyed games based around winter sports, but what we have here is something really special and a game that I have a feeling could be one of the most addictive of 2022.

In Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands, you can ski and snowboard around 12 huge ski resorts. These are all open area style places filled with areas for you to discover. From snowboarding down the side of a steep mountain, avoiding local wildlife, checking out a quaint little village, and watching out for other skiers on a busy slope. There is a ton of variety here in terms of the places you can explore.

It Is All About The Challenge

There are many different challenges that you can partake in while playing Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands. Completing certain challenges can open a ski lift to a new area, but you can also explore if you want to find new areas on your own too. The challenges in the game are things like big air, slopestyle, and super g so there are many different disciplines for you to try your hand at. There is a collectible element here too with these ski passes which I am sure many people will be addicted to finding as they play.

More Ways To Play

While taking part in all of the challenges in Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is what the main game mode is going to be, you do also have other fun ways that you can play this game. To start with there is four player multiplayer action here, you can play local or online with your buddies which is sure to be a fun time. You can also play the zen mode, in zen mode, there are no challenges, other characters on the slopes, or anything like that, it is just you and the snow to zoom about and explore to your heart's content.

These Mountains Sure Are Grand!

I really like the visuals of Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands. They have a bit of simplicity to them, but things are very well detailed. It has a kind of top down, isometric viewpoint going on which is great. It gives you a clear view of where you are skiing or snowboarding so nothing can sneak up on you and have you crashing into it. The whole game has a kind of relaxing vibe to it as far as the visuals go, even when you are hauling ass down a mountain trying to complete a tricky challenge!

For me, Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is a game that I would describe as a “just one more go” kind of game. By that I mean, I will always tell myself I am having just one more go and then an hour later still be playing it. If you like winter sports games, you have to check this one out. It has a ton of different places for you to ski or board on and it is just a really fun and addictive gameplay experience.
