Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack
Tired of playing the same old Halo 2 maps over and over, but still not quite ready to let them go either? Well here's your answer in a form that's fairly uncommon on consoles: Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack expansion. Keep in mind you do already have to own a copy of Halo 2 for this to work, but if you haven't played Halo 2 yet, spend your money there first. It'll be worth it.
So what's in it for $20? Well, first let me say that it's worth the $20 without question if you don't have a Live account. If you do, then you probably are already playing four of these maps. In addition, the rest of the maps are supposed to be released the same way in the near future so before you spend your money, realize these are not new maps to the ones you might already have downloaded using your Live account.
If you don't have a Live account and you have Halo 2 already, these nine maps will breathe new life into your Halo 2 experience. Clearly they are designed with significant forethought as they are incredibly balanced for the optimal multiplayer experience. Some of these you have to play for yourself to appreciate but all will add significant shelf life to Halo 2 and keep you and your buddies up until the early morning. In addition, care was clearly taken to produce visually rich environments that will only make it more engrossing.
Overall, Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack solidifies its place as one of the best multiplayer experiences available. If you have a Live account however, you might want to hold off. If you don't have one, may be a good reason to get one.
