Honkai Impact 3rd

Honkai Impact 3rd is a very fast-paced action RPG that has other elements such as hack and slash, bullet hell, and even a bit of social slice of life type thing going on too. It is a free-to-play game and one that can be enjoyed on mobile or PC. It is a free-to-play game, but it has sky-high production values and I would wager that most people who come to this do so because of the visuals.

I Don’t Know What Is Going On, But I Like It!

I have to admit that the story that Honkai Impact 3rd is trying to tell is all over the place. Taking place on an alternative Earth, many years ago many disasters happened and now a corrupt force is has taken hold. Many years later, forces from all over the Earth fight these new creatures, monsters, or whatever you want to call them. Others try and use them for their own end.

The game has a very anime kind of vibe as far as the story goes, but I have to say that I think they tried way too hard with the story here. The game is great, it really is and it would have been even better with a more barebones story.

The Valkyries!

In the game, you can take control of these awesome warriors known as Valkyries. Honkai Impact 3rd allows you to handle three at once and each one has her own story, look, moves, and so on and is fully upgradeable as you progress through the game. You can customize your characters with various items that can improve stats and of course change their looks as well.

Keeping You Busy

For a free-to-play game, Honkai Impact 3rd has plenty to keep you busy. You have the story mode which is ok, but it is the Open World mode which I really enjoyed. Here you are able to explore this large open area as you find items, engage in combat, and take on different challenges. There is also a bit of story in the Open World section that ties things together. You of course, also have various multiplayer modes such as co-op raids which are pretty self-explanatory as well as the ability to test your combat against other players.

Another fun mode in the game has you interacting with the characters in “The Dorm”. This is where the social aspect of the game comes into play and it is a great way to get more attached to the characters.

Sweet Like Chocolate

This is a fantastic-looking game. Even on a mobile device, Honkai Impact 3rd is going to capture your attention. It has some great-looking characters and while they do have some hotties, the characters are not overly sexualized in my opinion. It also has a rocking badass soundtrack that is complimented with some great voice acting. On PC, you get sharper visuals as well as a better frame rate.

Pros:

• This game is pure eye-candy!
• The soundtrack and the voice acting are of a very high standard
• Hack and slash gameplay is a lot of fun
• You can play the game for free!

Cons:

• The story to me made very little sense
• As a free-to-play game, it does try to tempt you with in-game purchases!
