Polygeddon: Survival is a low-poly game pitting players against each other in the ultimate test of survival. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world riddled with zombies, and players must find a way to stay safe from a number of forces acting against them.

The game features both single player and multiplayer, so gamers can choose how they want to experience the game. Polygeddon: Survival also has a vast number of different options for how to play the game, to suit any play style.

Low Poly Art

As the name implies, the developers chose a low-poly aesthetic for the world. Characters are very simply designed, with only a little more shape than the block style world of Minecraft. Although the art is very simple, it is still fairly well done. In particular, the horse vehicle manages to be both low-poly and beautifully made at the same time. Other items are much rougher in their appearance, especially zombies and plants like pumpkins.

Variety of Enemies

One of the more unique features of this game is that it isn’t just mobs or other players you must fight against. The weather can also be dangerous and has to be planned for. There are also a great many other bars besides the usual health bar to monitor. Players need to monitor their health, thirst, hunger, energy, temperature, vitamins, immunity bars to make sure they stay healthy and stay alive during the game.

With so many different bars it makes survival more challenging, but at the risk of being tedious. A dozen different bars constantly fading may force players to be continually thinking about where the next resource is, and not what they can build to be safer.

Different Biomes

Polygeddon: Survive also has a number of different biomes that change how the players experience the game. In very cold biomes for example, players will have to monitor their temperature bar a little more closely. In hotter climates, they may need to be more concerned about thirst.

These interesting changes can make wear you are on the map more important compared to other games.

Open World

The game has an open world environment and allows players to do pretty much what ever they want. They can farm things, craft new items, go on quests or develop skills, with others or alone. This means a lot of freedom for players, similar to the sandbox style world Minecraft developed.

The game also allows base building. Players can make a secure hideout for themselves to help protect against mobs and frankly, other players as well. With so many unpredictable people in the game, it’s best to come prepared.

7

For those who enjoy a challenge, this is a great game. If you don’t want to have to monitor a dozen different bars just to stay alive however, this game might get a bit tedious. Polygeddon: Survive is designed to be challenging and difficult to survive, but it runs the risk of being a little too much.

Pros:

  • Lots to do
  • Open world

Cons:

  • No female characters at this time
