The 1994 World Cup is about to begin, and suddenly a spaceship beams away the World Cup trophy. Soccer Kid travels through various countries, using his trusty soccer ball to knock out a multitude of enemies as he searches for pieces of the trophy.

Soccer Kid is simple to maneuver. His running, jumping, and soccer moves, which include headers and dribbles, give him plenty to do. With the game's smooth controls, he does it all easily.

The beautiful graphics are worthy of a trophy, with colorful, eye-pleasing backgrounds that range from rural England to Italian ruins. Sprites come in varying sizes, from small rats to big bosses, and all have smooth movements. The excellent animation is reminiscent of cartoons on TV.

Cool sounds, such as squeals and groans as the enemy is hit, accentuate Soccer Kid's tricks. The background music has a good beat, and each country has a different tune for variety.
