Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure is a colorful game designed for younger audiences. The game available on Wii, Nintendo DS, and PC. In this heartwarming adventure, children can join Dora for one of her classic adventures. The game follows the same format as the popular television series, asking for players to help Dora escape Wizzle World so she can get back in time for her fiesta.

Perfect for Young Children

As one can expect from a game based off a children’s show, this game is perfect for young children. The major audience group of Dora the Explorer is children ages 2-5, and this is a perfect game for this age range or even a bit older.

There’s nothing frightening in the game. Instead, the game tasks children with doing specific tasks to help Dora in the same way they do in the children’s show. Only this time instead of pretending to crank a wheel to raise a flag for example, they can do so using buttons on their controller.

The game features a main story mode, which is the quest kids go on, as well as party games after the story is finished.

Very Similar to Other Dora Games

Parents take note, the format for Dora games are all the same. If your child has played Dora the Explorer Saves the Mermaids for example, they’ll be handling the controls in the exact same way. There are some just plain fun mini-games, like dressing up Boots, but many of the games involve things like counting or memory match. As with all Dora the Explorer games, Dora will also teach your child a few words in Spanish too. Words like Vamanos (let’s go!) appear frequently. There’s no pressure to get it right. Children are free to explore, experiment, or just plain click all possible answers until they get it right.

Although it’s true the game may be boring to older kids, it’s important to remember the audience this game is designed for. Dora the Explorer is made for children ages 2-5, and it’s likely that Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure is aimed at the same age range.
