Everspace 2 can be considered a space simulator, but it has a lot of features from many genres even to the point that you can say Everspace 2 is everything all at once. It has shooter features, Rougelite features (but without falling into the “runs” system as it’s more of a level/upgrading thing), Adventure features (as it has a story mode that you can follow), and several sandbox features (as you can entirely leave aside the story mode for a moment only to explore everything the game has to offer).
The Cluster 34 Happenings
Everspace 2 mixes well the most interesting features of Rougelike games, as you can build your ship, get more levels and upgrade your weapons and shields, but, at the same time, it manages to tell you a very interesting, planned, and well-built story.
In Everspace 2, you are in control of a scientist named Adam Roslin… Or at least a clone of him, as the real Adam is dead, and you are just one of the clones of the original cloning scientist.
Everspace 2 happens after the ending of Everspace. Clone Adam, as well as many other clones of him, are being hunted as they are illegal. Some of them are dead, and others, like you, are hiding under other names. In this case, you are now Ross Adamov, and you’ll be the wingman of a mining corporation named Grady & Brunt Prospects. That’s where everything will start.
Space Invaders, but In Glorious 3D!
Everspace 2 is such a wonderful game in gameplay terms. It’s very fun to play, it’s not hard to follow its gameplay, and you’ll get used to all this game has to offer in a matter of seconds.
The game can be played in first person and in third person. Both are great options, as the First Person Camera isn’t bad at all; you can see a lot of things and you won’t get dizzy if you play like this.
But the game gets way better if you play it in third person, as you’ll be able to see all the maps in all their glory.
The graphics are also top-tier. The maps are beautiful, everything is well-detailed and there are no glitched graphics in any part of the game. This is a great thing considering the game is still in early access.
This is a wonderful game that it’s worth a shot. Even though it’s only on early access, you’ll have 120+ hours of gameplay, and the best part of this is that you won’t get bored at any moment, as both exploring and battling are very interesting.
The graphics are excellent, and the game is well-optimized, as it runs on almost any decent PC out there. And if you don’t have a PC, don’t worry, as you’ll find it on any console out there.
