If you are looking for something truly impressive when it comes to racing games, then you may be looking for Gran Turismo 7 by Polyphony Digital. We could be looking at one of the most well-designed and gorgeous racers that has ever been on the market. Let’s jump into it.

Gameplay

As usual, Gran Turismo has always styled itself as more of a simulator than an outright racing game. The level of detail that we see not just in the graphics, but in the impressive mechanics, be it in physics or gameplay. We could be looking at something truly spectacular, and thanks to the gameplay that was released, its really hitting home that this will be a complete Gran Turismo experience that could rival games like Forza Motorsport 7 or Dirt 5.

As seen in the demo, there will be a selection of cars and tracks but there will also be championships, special events, driving school, parts shop, used cars dealership and a few other game modes. It is looking to be packed to the brim with interesting and brilliant gameplay options, to truly sell the idea to the player in a way that has never been achieved before.

Thanks to its release on the Playstation 5, will also accommodate the DuelSense controllers’ functions and will even make use of the controller’s haptic feedback. Only time will tell.

Aesthetic

Oh boy, are we in for a treat. Designed to be released on the next generation of consoles, we are looking at the new Tempest Engine. It’s going to give us dedicated real time ray tracing effects augmented by 3d spatial audio. WE are going to be racing at a 4K resolution with a steady 60 frames per second and high dynamic range support.

This truly has the potential to trick you into believing that you are seeing something real, and even if it never reaches that point, it is going to look damn incredible while it tries.

Vehicles and Tracks

One of the big parts of racing games is without a doubt the cars that you will be allowed to race in and where you will be allowed to race them. The previous instalment of Grant Turismo Sport started with 168 cars and 29 tracks, gradually moving to 324 cars and 82 tracks through updates.

We can either be looking at a very similar situation or perhaps even starting with an already very high number and more being added after that.
