Grand Emprise: Time Travel Survival

Grand Emprise: Time Travel Survival might be the craziest and most ambitious survival game I have ever seen! It is such a great idea for a game and one that takes stuff that we have seen in other survival style games such as different biomes, but makes them a key part of the gameplay experience. Now, as I write this, the game is not yet fully complete, but I wanted to take a little peek behind the curtain at some of the features this game has which I think are very cool and exciting.

If I Could Turn Back Time

You know I am pretty sure that this has to be at least the fifth time I have used that Cher reference, but with Grand Emprise: Time Travel Survival it is perhaps more relevant than ever! You see the tagline that this game has is “time travel through history to become a god!” if that right there does not grab your attention, I do not know what the hell will, but the basic premise of this game is to go through time and survive and flourish as you do! This game is developed with being a single player experience in mind so there is no forced multiplayer here.

Always Moving Forward

It is by far the time travel aspect of Grand Emprise: Time Travel Survival that has gotten me the most excited. From what I understand the game is not going to make us stay in one particular time period for too long. I like this as it means we will have to keep moving forward and it prevents you from getting bored if you are not into a particular era. Of course, on the flip side of this, if you are having a blast playing with dinosaurs, you may be a bit bummed out when it is time to move on.

In Time, We’ll Be Dancing In The Streets All Night

Now that is a “wyld” reference, if you know, you know! Anyway, Grand Emprise: Time Travel Survival is awesome as it lets you play around in the prehistoric past where you must deal with dinosaurs where you can fight with them and even tame them so that you can ride on them. You will travel ancient temples to find their secrets. You will have to manage a human colony as you set sail for adventure, you can even go all the way into the future as you build a base on the moon! As you progress through time, you have to make use of the resources and technology or lack of technology that the time period has to offer which adds a real element of strategy to the game.

Minecrafting Towards The Future

I have to say that I do think Minecraft is probably the best comparison for Grand Emprise: Time Travel Survival. You see, each time period you are in you need to build a base, but you also need to scavenge for supplies and try to build what you need in order to survive. It is the exploration aspect of the game that I find most exciting and I am very interested to see just how deep this will all go once the game has been fully developed. I like how there are technology trees for us to discover and how each area has its own resources for us to make use of. There is even combat in the game from fighting with dinosaurs, to primal creatures to even humans and crazy stuff in the future.

Pros:

• It is a survival game about time travel
• I love how many different time periods are in the game
• You can go from riding a dinosaur to riding a rocket ship
• The potential that this game has truly is limitless

Cons:

• There is a lot under the hood here so I am a tad nervous in regards to if it will all work
• Some may wish that they could spend longer in certain time periods
