Granny 3

When we think of visiting our grandparents, it’s often fond memories of baking cookies or fishing down by the lake. In the horror game Granny 3, you’ll be looking to escape from your grandparent’s house, with just 5 days to make your escape. Granny 3 utilizes jump scares to help frighten you, and lets you choose who you want to face off against. You can pick between Grandma, Grandpa, and Slendrina. Grandma can hear you, but grandpa cannot. You can also choose to have all of them for an extreme challenge.

Granny can hear you but not see you, grandpa can see but not hear, and you must turn your back to Slendrina so she can’t see your face to survive her. The game works a lot like 5 Nights At Freddy’s and other similar games, where you have a certain amount of days to escape before your doom hits you.

Simple Artwork

The 3D in Granny 3 is not that great. While you can distinguish between Grandma, Grandpa, and Slendrina, the renders lack any degree of sharpness. This is made up for by wonderful sound effects, which help pull you into the game and make it easier to tell the characters apart. Although the graphics are poor, it doesn’t detract from the game much. The game is already dark and moody which doesn’t allow for much detail, and the jump scares work well enough despite the so-so graphics.

No saves

While its possible this will change as time goes on, the game must currently be played all the way through without the option to save. This isn’t as hard as it sounds. The game is relatively short, and although the map seems expansive at first, as you get more accustomed to the game you quickly get the hang of it.

Shotgun Added

One new feature of this game that differs Granny 3 from earlier games such as Granny is that Grandpa now has a shotgun. This means he doesn’t have to physically catch up to you anymore to cause you harm. You can also take this weapon, as well as a slingshot that can be unlocked later in the game, to give yourself an edge.

5 possible endings

There are currently 5 possible endings to the game. These run from successfully surviving on practice mode, all the way to escaping through either the car or out the door. These possible endings offer replay value to the game and make escaping more enjoyable.
