Honey Kingdom

Wow, Honey Kingdom is a game that I was certain I was going to like, but this ended up being so much more than I was expecting. Now, I will say that if the whole trap/futa thing is not something you are usually into, I would probably recommend that you check out some screenshots or even some videos to see if this is for you. I would say that it is more of a trap game than it is a futa one if that makes sense. I found this to be pretty hot and also way more thought provoking than I could have imagined.

An Interesting Inheritance For Sure

Now, I will admit, when I read the synopsis of the story for Honey Kingdom, I did roll my eyes a little bit. We play the role of a young man whose grandfather has passed away and our inheritance is his business. Turns out that our dear old grandfather's business is a brother, but not just any brothel, a brothel where the “ladies” are packing more than just great sets of boobs if you get what I am saying. We go to the brothel to try and see what we can make of it and ourselves.

It Is People That Make The Difference”

The premise of Honey Kingdom is great and something that if I am being honest, I have seen in a few other lewd games. However, it is the ladies/traps that work at this brothel we have inherited that really make this game. They are all very well written and while at first, they may just see you as the new master of the brothel and want to please you. The story can actually shock you with how much depth these characters have. I was pretty surprised by how invested I got with the story and the relationships with the various characters.

Being Your Own Man

When I started playing Honey Kingdom and I saw that there were a few different “stats” I had to work on in order to build up relationships and move things forward. I thought that this had the potential to be pretty grindy if I am being honest with you. However, that is not the case, the game is pretty straightforward to play through and the different stats for each of the characters build up at a decent rate so you never feel like you are doing the same thing over and over again. The only “issue” that I had with the gameplay was that the cursor as I moved around the sandbox area felt like it was really twitchy.

A Trap I Want To Fall Into

There are not many games that do the trap thing justice, but Honey Kingdom is certainly one of them. There are some great looking characters in this game. Alice has the maid thing going on and of course, she has to bend over to scrub the floors good! My favorite character though is Maria who has a bit of a naughty side to her and she actually reminds me a tad of Chloe Price from Life is Strange. The game has animated sex scenes, but they do have a bit of jerkiness to them so I feel like they could have done with some smoother animation. In general, the game looks fantastic, and has a kind of “pastel” look to it in regards to the colors that they have used.

Pros:

• There are some very likable and interesting characters
• I liked how each character had their own personality
• The character designs and the look of the game in general are great
• I was impressed with the writing in the game

Cons:

• The trap characters are not going to appeal to everyone
• The sex scenes look great, but some smoother animation would have been nice

Honey Kingdom is an erotic visual novel with ramps instead of regular girls. On the day of your majority, you receive a letter from your deceased father, which is nothing more than an inheritance. A certain lucrative business is now yours and you rush off to find out more about it. However, a whole brothel awaits you behind the doors, and with male employees who look strangely like girls. Will you be able to do this business further?
