Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is a Japanese Role-Playing Game brought to you by renowned development studio AQUAPLUS. This is a game that follows our hero, Oshtor, a young man who dwells in the land of Yamato, who goes out in search for information around his father’s mysterious death. A turn-based combat RPG, this game offers a tremendous amount of exploration for a world filled with amazing sights and incredible enemies. If you are looking for an epic new adventure to embark upon in an incredible fantasy world, then look no further than this game. Let’s find out more.

Gameplay

There are multiple facets to this game and how you play it. Firstly, its an open-world game, so this allows you to travel across the vast realm of Yamato. You are able to walk on foot or use mounts to cross the incredible spans of rolling fields, deserts, forests, and much more. There is a tremendous amount to see and this is the kind of game that makes you want to go and see it all.

Secondly, this game is a role-playing game, so it isn’t simply a case of going from A to B, you have a quest to accomplish. There are many people, friends, foes, and many in-between that you will encounter on this journey. You will have to manage yours and your party’s health, resources, money, and weapons to make sure you are getting the best of them.

Finally, there is the combat. The combat in Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is turn-based, meaning your team takes a turn and then the enemy does. Repeat that cycle until someone dies and that’s pretty much it. Now, that’s not to say it’s boring, when done right like it is here, its very interesting. You have to manage your damage output and your health, make sure you are able to perform the attacks that you want to and make sure you’re making good use of your party members. These are numbers games, so make sure you know what the numbers are and you’ll do fine. The game handles a bit like Persona 5.

Visuals

The visuals of this game are very nice. The cutscenes look great and the gameplay art style itself is quite good too. They aren’t quite on the same level as things like Final Fantasy XV, but you will have perfectly good experience with this. The world is lush and vibrant with a great color palette. The characters are uniquely designed and interesting to behold. You can’t really ask for much more.

Story

The story of this game follows the main characters of Oshtar, a young boy who is searching for information on his father mysterious death. Eventually, after travelling far and wide, you will have to traverse to a place that is not properly marked on the map, revealing the most challenging part of your grand adventure. If this sounds fun, then this is the game for you.
