No Time to Relax

If you love to play games with your friends and family, No Time to Relax is a game I highly recommend. This was a blast to play and for a good solid couple of weeks, it was the go-to game for me and my friends. The fact that my wife even got on this tells you that it has to be pretty good as it takes a lot to make her try a new game. Think of the game as a party life sim and you will have a good idea of what to expect here with this game.

The Game of Life

You know the classic board game (actually there are video games based on it too) The Game of Life? Well, No Time to Relax is like a more exaggerated and frantic version of that. The idea here is that you have been given a second chance to climb that corporate ladder, get a great education, the big promotion, a healthy body, and a loving pet and you can do it all while rubbing it in your friend's faces and showing that you are the best. This is a fun multiplayer game where you will be laughing and having a great time as you trash-talk and mock your friends and have them do the same to you!

Friends = Fun

One thing that I will say about No Time to Relax and it is a kind of similar feeling that I have with something like Super Mario Party and that is the game is nowhere near as fun when you are playing against the AI. The only reason that I would suggest playing the game against the AI is to try and get better ideas of how to strategize your life so that you have a better chance of beating your friends. The AI is smart enough, but I often found myself crushing the AI or feeling like the AI was blatantly cheating! However, I do feel like playing the AI a few times did help me understand the game a bit better.

Life Never Ends!

The way that the game works is that when you start No Time to Relax, you need to create your avatar. You then get some missions that you will need to complete as you progress through the game. From eating tons of fries to diversifying your stock portfolio, you never know what life is going to throw your way, and making cash and living a good life are how you are ultimately going to win. Different cards will pop up that can be good and bad and the game moves at a very brisk pace. The thing with this game is that a typical game can be quite short, but it is so much fun, you will want to jump straight back in and play again. It is way shorter than one of the boards in Mario Party 4 or another party style game that is for sure!

Only On Nicktoons

Do you remember when being a Nicktoon was a big deal? No Time to Relax has a very 90s Nickelodeon kind of vibe about it. Rugrats, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Ren & Stimpy are the kind of vibes I get… Hey Arnold, how could I forget Hey Arnold! Anyway, the cartoon and charming style of the visuals are sure to put a big smile on your face and even when you have made all the wrong decisions and lady luck is not going your way and your buddies are just crushing you, you will still get a kick out of the zany visuals that the game has. I also love the upbeat and sometimes frantic soundtrack that the game offers as it goes so well with the visuals.

Pros:

• I just love the zany and wacky style of the game
• You can try and be strategic, but the random nature of stuff is hilarious
• This is a real hidden gem of a multiplayer game
• Even when you lose, this is fun

Cons:

• I found the AI to be either too easy or a straight-up cheat!
• I do wish that there was a little more variety to the things you can do

No Time to Relax is a cooperative card game that will show others and yourself how to live beautifully. Starting in just your underwear, you must work your way up to a rich life. Impress your friends and acquaintances with your successes, dazzling them with the glitter of expensive watches and buying branded clothes for your dog. But it's not that simple, because everyone wants to live a good life. Set up your friends and cope with sneak attacks addressed only to you.

• Play in co-op and set each other up
