Rogue Shift

Do your best to survive in this rogue-like game that also has RPG elements on it. Rogue Shift is still in its early access, as the developers are still working on improving the game. Set to release in September of 2021.

Can You Survive?

You find yourself isolated after your ship gets shot down by supposedly “allies”. After the crash, you are alone and low on oxygen, and to be able to reach the nearest outpost, you must survive against dangerous environments and monsters. The mystery of why your ship was shot remains, but for now, your main objective is to survive.

Staying alive won’t be an easy task, but as you progress you will get stronger by leveling up, unlocking perks, expanding your arsenal by finding more weapons, and even attaining psionic powers. All of these will make you become more of a threat to your enemies and will make it easier for you to survive.

When the full game releases, it will give players more story content, weapons, enemies types, new maps, and areas, among other unknown stuff. You can choose between three different types of game modes and can choose to play them by yourself, or online with your friends.

Compete Against Others

All of the three-game modes include an online scoreboard, so you can try your best to have the highest score among other players. So if you’re a casual player and only want to have fun, you don’t have to worry about your score, but the score-board can also help hardcore players to better themselves and aim for the top of the list.

Crashlander, Doomed, and Escape are the three modes that you can choose to play. In Crashlander you will play through the game story, and it is the perfect choice for newcomers to learn how to play the game, and you can play it at your own pace.

If you want to try and survive for as long as you can against never-ending waves of enemies, Doomed is the right mode for you. Use all of your abilities to kill all of your enemies, and the faster you do it, the higher your score will be. During the intervals between waves, you can buy items, collect your loot, and even activate defensive turrets.

Escaped is an alternate version of Doomed, and the difference is that you can survive it. You must survive through increasingly harder zones, and the faster you go through all of them, the higher your score will be.

Overall

Rogue Shift is going to be a fun game, and it can be enjoyed by either casual or hardcore players. The leaderboard makes players try their hardest to get the highest score possible in all of the modes so that their names can sit atop the list.
