Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

At the most recent games com, one of the games that caught my attention was Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, the latest game in the Warhammer series. It is an intense, fun, and badass co-op based first-person action game that is awesome for those that are into the world of Warhammer, but it is also the kind of thing that is so cool even those who are not into this franchise will be able to have a great deal of fun with. Today we are taking a closer look at this game and seeing why it could be the best game to have the Warhammer name to date!

Stop The City From Falling

I will admit that I do not exactly know what the entire story of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is, but I do know the basics and it does seem pretty cool. The idea of the story is that the city of Tertium has been overtaken by a bloodthirsty evil and the city is in grave danger of falling for good unless they can be fought back by an elite squad of badasses! I think it sounds pretty awesome, to be honest with you.

Creating Your Own Character

One of the things that got people very excited about Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was the character creation aspect of the game. There is a tremendous amount of choice available for you here. You get to pick from a number of different classes so that you can fine tune your abilities to give you the best edge possible on the battlefield. The designing of your character though is truly something special and for those that like to paint their Warhammer miniatures, you are in for a real treat here as there are a ton of different ways that you can make your character look.

Evolving The Game!

The Vermintide series was very popular and Vermintide 2 had some of the best melee combat around. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is keeping that same kind of melee combat which people loved. However, gunplay has been added. It makes for an epic, balls to the wall style of game that is all about rushing in and dealing heavy damage. While this is extra awesome if you are a fan of the series, even a non-fan is going to look at this and think that it looks like a ton of fun. Of course, playing with others is a major part of the game and me and my buddies are very excited about getting in on this together and having some real fun with it. The mission structure in the game is always going to keep you on your toes, forcing you to change up tactics, your loadout, and so on for each new challenge that comes your way.

Thrust Into The Chaos

Without a doubt, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is one of the best-looking games to bear the Warhammer name. Tertium is a brutal place and this game captures that perfectly. The hard industrial like areas, the acid rain, it is all here and makes for a dark, but beautiful playground for you to fight in. The whole style of the game is very, very cool and has captured the spirit of the world of Warhammer perfectly in my opinion.

• The combat in this game is very satisfying
• It has one of the most robust character creation suits you will ever see
• This is one of the best Warhammer games to be released in many years

Cons:

• Will it be as much fun playing on your own?
• With how good this looks, you may need a pretty powerful PC to get the best out of it
