Beer Factory

Beer Factory is a business simulation game projected to be released on Steam in the second quarter of 2023. The game puts you in control of your very own beer factory. You’ll need to acquire raw materials, start a production line, refine and brew your beers, and send them out to stores.

Of course, it’s impossible to run an entire factory on your own. You’ll also need to hire some employees to help you get through the day.

Engaging Intro

The game opens with a phone call from your accountant. The accountant explains that the budget allows for the purchase of the factory, but there are some things left to do before the factory can be opened. Your first steps will be to prepare the factory for production.

According to the accountant, this includes cleaning and renovating the factory, as well as getting the electricity turned on.

After the accountant gets done, you’re given a series of objectives you need to complete. This ranges from running off bums to making yourself a cup of coffee. The beginning of the game is very similar to Gas Station Simulator, in that you’ll mostly be picking up trash and mopping floors.

Some minor flaws

Unfortunately, it’s also apparent from the very beginning that this game isn’t quite perfect. There are some dialogue errors and a gleeful disregard for physics at others. As an example, it’s fine to take a shelving unit out to throw at a homeless person, but not fine to fit a forklift fork through the same space.

The graphics could also be improved. Most of the graphics are fairly poor, with graininess and lack of detail being the norm.

Pimp My Ride Mini-Game

As you are searching for missing pieces to various parts of the factory, you’ll sometimes find new pieces to your forklift. These go above and beyond the forks needed to assemble the forklift and offer a tricked-out ride as a fun feature to the game.

Since the forklift is a critical part of the game, making it a bit more fun to play does add value to the game.

More to Come

All that’s available for review right now is the prologue, which simply takes you through setting up the factory. Eventually there will be money management, sales, and other factors to worry about. The game already appears to have a sense of humor worked in, and there are little easter eggs worth playing for here and there throughout the game.

If you enjoyed games like Gas Station Simulator or Pane In The Glass, you’ll likely enjoy Beer Factory. The game is an even mix of nitty gritty tasks like taking out the trash, all the way up to the huge and impressive task of running a factory.
