Have you ever wondered what happens to RPG dungeons after the heroes have defeated everything that was lurking inside? Well, they send the clean-up crew, of course! In Dungeon Done, you and up to five other players will team up to pick what's left after the heroes leave a dungeon. Oh, and you won't be alone, by the way.

This PvE co-op horror survival extraction game (try saying that five times fast) gets really creepy, really fast. What begins as a purely atmospheric horror experience soon turns into a spine-chilling race for your life. Friendships will be tested, loot will be ransacked, and some unfortunate losers will meet their demise in the hands of some of the dungeon's creepy denizens.

Turn Every Rock

Even if the dungeon looks empty – with every treasure chest properly sacked, as you do in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – that doesn't mean there's not any treasure left to loot. It means, however, that you'll need to be extra inquisitive to find anything previous adventures might have ignored.

You and your team will need to solve puzzles and avoid dangers to find the dungeon's hidden riches. But be careful, though – you're on a timer before the deadliest monsters come to make you their dinner. Teamwork makes the dream work, but you could always keep most of the treasure to yourself.

Co-Op or No-Op

Something that I learned the hard way is that there's no point in trying to face the monsters in Dungeon Done. Much like Outlast and other survival horror games, escaping is your only choice. That's easier said than done, however. After all, no good dungeon is complete without its fair share of deadly traps.

Strategy plays an integral role in your average match of Dungeon Done. Every player naturally fills a role in the team. I say "naturally" because the game doesn't make a distinction between classes or anything like that – Everyone has the same chance to find treasures, or become monster chum.

Traverse the Darkest Dungeons

The art style in Dungeon Done was clearly going for a grim dark edge in the same vein as Bloodborne or Dragon's Dogma. That said, some animations and character models leave a bit to be desired. Some of the larger monsters continuously clipped through walls in most of my playthroughs, shattering the immersion and any shred of horror atmosphere almost immediately.

That said, there are some things about the game's art style that I loved. The developers created some truly gorgeous dungeons, and the way they're bathed in shadows (only lit by your torch, at times) creates an exceptionally terrifying ambiance. There's also the fact that the game ran flawlessly on both my desktop PC and my work laptop, which means most players should be able to run Dungeon Done no matter how powerful their rigs are.
