Farm Together is the type of video game you’ll enjoy if you’re looking for something to engage with and relax while playing. This is a title that can be enjoyed with your kids, no matter the age. This title is one that is bright, colorful and engaging for kids, while still holding some interest for you.
Unlike the Minecraft or Terraria style titles, Farm Together is a unique game experience in that it does not provide a challenge, stated aim, or hurdle to conquer. You're just asked to develop a farm at your leisure. Your farm's crops and animals will not perish if you ignore them, and you will never be in financial peril if you don't have a good harvest.
Farm Together is a graphically attractive title that reflects a style more often found in first-party Nintendo products; from its magnificent player character models to its diverse assortment of items and crops, Farm Together maintains a high degree of graphical perfection throughout.
What's more, this brilliance didn't come at the expense of variety; the character customization choices are not only ethnically varied, but also vast, giving players hundreds of possibilities to personalize their appearance. This customization extends beyond the player persona by letting users to choose whatever pets, tractors, and emotes they want to bring into the gaming world with them.
The ability to not only create your own farm to enjoy alone or with others (local or online co-op) is fantastic in and of itself, but the ability to publish your farm publicly to enable visitors and to visit others on their farms adds a degree of social engagement that most games lack. Farm Together seems like the game Farmville might have been, building on the basic communal farming sim idea with magnificent visuals and a far less exploitative monetization mode.
While not very in-depth, Farm Together provides a reasonable assortment of in-house activities and a large choice of furnishings options, enabling players some type of cash sink in the late game, for most items costing diamonds, a currency that gradually devalues as your farm expands.
The game environment is massive since it was created with multiplayer in mind. Over Xbox Live, up to 16 people can farm together. There is no local split-screen, but the online portion is effectively managed, allowing for guest and friend rights such as "harvest only" or "plant and harvest." The major annoyance with multiplayer is that player levels and unlocks do not transfer over into other people's new farms.
While NPC characters want particular food hauls, you do not communicate with other characters. You also don't go to any places to explore or anything. It's mainly about your farm and expanding it. That alone is more than enough to keep you satisfied. I'm having a great time playing this game with my little brother, and it's fantastic to see a game that doesn't cause any worry. Simply sit back and relax while watching the fields expand.
I highly recommend Farm Together for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a peaceful gaming environment
