The game may look different in certain aspects than what you’re used to today, yet the gameplay is truly one of a kind with the experience players get while deep within the dangerous streets of this version of Liberty City. Unique Storylines

The game begins as Huang Lee travels to Liberty City with a mystical symbolic sword, to deliver to his Uncle Kenny, so that the empire will remain under your family’s control. Suddenly Huang is ambushed and the sword stolen, as his body is dumped into the harbour, expecting death to take him. This is where you begin your journey, scouring the underworld of Liberty city in search of the sword as you battle your way through tons of exciting missions that take you on a few twists and turns along the way.

Gameplay Experience

GTA: Chinatown Wars returns to a top-down view instead of POV style, like the majority of the franchise’s games. This unique style pairs wonderfully with the incredibly detailed and cartoonish design of the game. The game style has been compared to Rockstar Game’s hit game: Bully which takes place in a boarding school. The world itself is filled with NPC (non-player characters) going about their regular day, while you zoom around the city fulfilling your crime-underworld tasks.

Creative Mission Diversity

Unlike similar games where you simply roll up onto the target, blast away and flee with the loot, Chinatown Wars offers a plethora of exciting & challenging missions that will prompt your creativity and perseverance to complete. Along with the campaign there are tons of side missions to entice your mind, from managing your drug trade to intense races across the city. It is clear that the story writers took their time and added as much detail to this game as possible. The drug business becomes an exciting aspect to the game as you need to manage your resources, buy your product low and sell high while watching out for police busts.

While the gameplay and storyline are incredible, one hang-up some users may find is the Point of View you use to play. Those loyal to the GTA franchise may find the change bothersome, however if you are looking for a consistently enjoyable gameplay experience with a unique perspective, this is the game for you.
