Mobile games often get the short end of the stick when it comes to the time and attention needed to make the game good. Juggernaut: Revenge Of Sovering is a hard core RPG with decent graphics, and a slow to develop but interesting combat style.

Dull Beginnings

Although Juggernaut: Revenge Of Sovering eventually shapes up to have some exciting gameplay, it doesn’t feel that way at first. The game starts off with you traveling by rail between locations, and is barely interesting as you battle monsters and continue on.

Things do get more complex and interesting however, as you move on from there. The game allows you to use “Mana” and “Fury” that give you the ability to use magic. This really helps open up the world and the possibilities within. As you progress the game also offers new mini-gams and abilities to keep you busy.

The result is that a relatively complex system never feels overwhelming, and you’re able to use and understand different combos because they weren’t thrown at you with a thousand other features. The game is similar to Infinity Blade in some ways, with similar touchscreen controls and abilities.

Excellent Storyline

The game does have a very well-developed storyline that makes it more enjoyable to play. The game is set in Haradan, a magical world where the player must defeat an evil presence called Sovering. This epic battle is captured in these fights and helps bring meaning to the battles you experience during the game. This well-developed storyline is balanced by the fact that the voice acting, when it is present in the game, is terrible. It could really stand to have more improvements to make the acting a bit more believable.

The game is free-to-play, which is pretty impressive considering the quality you are given access to. This is a groundbreaking game when it comes to touchscreen combat and allows you to do some pretty amazing things with just your phone gameplay.

As an added bonus, despite having a shop you can spend real money on to complete the game faster, it isn’t required. You can play the game entirely through without spending a dime. The difference is some areas will be harder, you have to be smarter with what you find in game, and it will take a bit longer. This seems to be a really good balance that allows all players to enjoy the game without forcing the shop on them to make it possible.

This is overall a great game for people who want to play a fun mobile game without paying huge amounts for it. Juggernaut: Revenge Of Sovering has great graphics, a well thought out battle system, and a slow enough start you don’t get overwhelmed.
