Pizza Possum

Releasing September 28th, Pizza Possum is an adorable game about a hungry possum looking for food. Players are put in the roll of an adorable possum in a dog’s world. The goal of the game is to sneak through all the dog guards to get to the dog king. Players must eat the king’s personal pizza and steal his crown 3 times to win. This may seem like a very simple storyline, but things get complicated quickly. Like any arcade game, Pizza Possum is designed to take just a short time to learn, but a long time to master.

Charming Graphics

Pizza Possum has a strong resemblance to Animal Crossing, with cute 3D animals running around an equally cute background. The characters are all whimsical and well-drawn, with cheerful colors and smooth animation. The sound matches the graphics and is just as cute as everything else in the game.

Multiplayer Available

While the game isn’t multiplayer in the true sense of the word, the game does allow for a local, 2-player co-op. 2-player really adds to the entertainment of the game. If you love playing with your buddies at parties or need an icebreaker, this game is a hilarious and easy to pick up party game.

Easy to Play, Hard to Master

The core gameplay of Pizza Possum is easy. Players must sneak through the bushes and run from the dog police while eating as much food as they can. Geese and other non-dog animals can be chased to have them drop more food to consume.

The goal of the game is to eat as much food as possible, culminating in the Dog King’s food. Although this sounds simple enough, it’s fairly hard to do. Items like smoke bombs and punching gloves can provide distraction for the dogs, but otherwise they’re quite good at chasing players down.

It’s not as simple as just hiding in a bush either. When a dog knows a player is there, an exclamation point will form over the dog’s head. Hiding in bushes is a great way to sneak around when they haven’t noticed the player, but if the dog sees the player go into the bush, they’ll know the player is there.

Players can tell if they were seen because an exclamation point will form over the bush as well. Bushes also require some extra effort to get out of. The bushes provide cover because they are thick with leaves and branches. That means extra effort is needed to get out of them!

This is a cute little party game that does a good job of entertaining players. Like most arcade games, the storyline is rudimentary at best, but that is by design. Enjoy the simple and carefree game of cat and mouse (or in this case, possum and dog) in Pizza Possum.
