Project Castaway is a game where you must do your best to survive in the harsh environment, and you’ll need to craft and gather resources so that you can defend yourself against the wildlife. So put your skills to the test, and see if you would be able to survive in this type of environment.

Man vs. Wild

You are the castaway, and you've been tasked with defending your tropical paradise from invading animals. Armed with a lightning bolt that stuns the enemy, you'll need to use palm trees to block their attacks and get them off the island. The gameplay consists of placing obstacles on the beach like palm trees or stinging bees to stop them from reaching the shore. You can also directly attack the animals with bolts of lightning, which cost money and are in short supply. Once you've reached the shore of your island, it's time to establish a home base. You can build huts out of branches and leaves and craft tools with rocks you find in the terrain.

The most important thing to consider is where you're going to place your campfire. The fire serves as your main source of light, so if an animal gets too close, it will be scared away by its brightness. In addition, getting too close yourself will cause damage over time (as we learned from playing The Flame in the Flood).

Your next priority should be erecting a fence around this campfire so that no animals come wandering through during the night — or even worse: during daytime when they're not distracted by sunlight!

Survive

In this environment, you’re going to need to use every single tool available to you. At the start, you might find yourself struggling a bit since you’re going to have limited resources, and it will take you some time to be able to properly craft enough tools for you to be able to survive. This game will put your survival skills to the test. So if you’re into survival games like The Forest, where you’re thrown into an island all by yourself and must try your best to survive, be sure to give Project Castaway a chance

You can play Project Castaway for hours without realizing it. It’s fun, challenging, and addictive. The game is still in early access, so if you’re going to play it right away, you might run across some minor bugs, but if that is something that doesn't bother you, then go ahead and download the game.

Conclusion

Project Castaway is still a work in progress, and while it might not be perfect, the game has a lot of promise and can end up being a super fun survival game for you to play alone or with friends. These types of games are great, as you can spend hours and hours playing, and you won’t even notice the time fly by.
