The number of simulators keeps rising so let’s add Restaurant Flipper to that pile of weirdly satisfying games. Have you veer been stood at a bar of a restaurant and thought “wow this place could use some redecorating?” or maybe you’ve just wanted to design your own restaurant from the ground up, buy a building and get to work but its really expensive and you don’t know the first thing about how to start? Well, you’re in luck. Restaurant Flipper has you take on the responsibility of purchasing a run-down old restaurant and then turning it into something that could actually see some business. Gameplay

This game functions a lot like House Flipper or Gas Station Simulator, so if you’ve played that then you have a good idea of how this game goes as well. That being said, they are not identical by any means.

What you are creating here is very different so a lot of the items you can place, problems you encounter and requirements you need to account for are different and require an entirely different outlook to set up properly. This is an establishment that has to fulfil its customers’ needs and it’s up to you to decide exactly how you are going to accommodate for them.

You can break down or build walls, replace and move furniture, change the entire buildings aesthetic and go in a totally different direction with it to create something unique straight from your own mind. I find this gameplay freedom to be incredibly engaging and it regularly keeps me coming back to play again and again. For people who want a quick play, there are also preset options to installations, which mean you don’t have to fine tune every detail if you don’t want to, but you can if you do.

Once you’ve completed your work, it will be tested by customers and critics to get your preferred star rating. With that comes the opportunity to sell the restaurant on to a new buyer and move on to your new project. The cycle continues and it’s a thing to love about the game.

Visuals

This game looks great and no one can argue with that. Everything from the equipment you use and how it functions, to the strangely satisfying physics engine, all the way to the fantastic lighting is all presented brilliantly. There’s something so crisp to this game that makes it an absolute joy to play.

User Interface

I suppose this could be tied to the gameplay section but I feel it deserves a heading of its own. The user interface is one of the best I’ve seen in games like this. It really looks like it’s been rebuilt from the ground up to provide a smoother and more satisfying game style than ever.

The way it lets you switch through furniture, build walls or copy and paste things is absolutely incredible. They have gone in and made sure that this title is as easy to play as possible and it shines through like no other game can manage.
