SpaceBourne 2

Wow, I actually do not know how I can fit all my thoughts about SpaceBourne 2 into this review/preview! This is one of the biggest games to be released in 2023 and it is a game that I am legit worried is going to make me blow off many of the games I got over Christmas break as I get so addicted to it. This is a massive space RPG style game where you feel like you are in a huge galaxy and you are playing a key part in many adventures.

One Large Galaxy, Many Starloards

No, I am not talking about the guy from Guardians of the Galaxy! SpaceBourne 2 has a massive open galaxy for us to explore and there are many different regions that are ruled by different Starloards. You will need to carefully navigate the galaxy as you deal with these other races, people, and so on as you decide what kind of “hero” you are ultimately going to be. This is a massive and open world where the narrative makes you feel like you are right in the thick of this space opera. I do worry it may lack a bit of focus, but for someone like me with an overactive imagination, it is truly epic stuff.

Boots On The Ground

There are many aspects to the gameplay of SpaceBourne 2 and first of all, I want to talk about the on the ground, 3rd person shooter style gameplay. I get some major Mass Effect vibes here as you wage war and do all that you can to survive the various encounters you will find yourself in the middle of. You can take two squad mates with you to fight alongside you and you get to try and move them in the direction you want. There is a pretty deep upgrade system in the game as you can find various resources, weapons, and so on to make sure that your guy is tailored to your playstyle.

No Man Is In The Sky!

As well as boots on the ground style gameplay, SpaceBourne 2 also lets you take control of a badass spaceship and you have just as much customization here as you do with your actual character! The ship based combat here is so much fun, while the designing of your ship is deep, the flying in the game has a kind of arcadey feel about it. In many ways, what we have here is exactly what I wanted from No Mans Sky! The universe is procedurally generated so you never know where you will end up as you fly through space.

Say Good By To Your Life

There is no way that I can tell you all of the things that this game has in store for you as it is so massive! SpaceBourne 2 has epic 3rd person shooter gameplay, fun space combat, and tons of missions, you can become a bounty hunter, perform mining and salvage, go through wormholes to distant parts of space, and more. One of the most exciting things about this game is just how massive it is and each time you fire up the game, you will feel like you are freaking Han Solo about to embark on an amazing adventure.

Pros:

• I love the whole open ended aspect of the game
• You will feel like a real space pirate/captain
• The 3rd person shooter gameplay is very action packed and satisfying
• You can pilot your ship all over the galaxy and find all kinds of cool stuff

Cons:

• A game like this is probably going to take up all of your gaming time
• While I love the galaxy and lore they have created here, I hope that the core story is as exciting as the premise is
