The new developers are reverently concerned about the transfer of the original game on the new engine. So Spyro Reignited Trilogy is sure to please those who launched them on PlayStation more than twenty years ago. That said, the remaster has moved to a new three-dimensional engine, which has significantly improved the graphics. Visually, the project looks no worse than the fresh parts of the media franchise Mario or a re-release of another famous arcade – Crash Bandicoot. After all, now the main character and his friends come to life in a colorful universe on the Unreal Engine.

The Story of the Dragon

Narratively, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is exactly the same as the original games. Only in some places redesigned dialogues, added new locations and characters. The rest of the series has not undergone any changes. However, the story has never been its strongest point.

The first part of the franchise introduces users to the only surviving dragon named Spyro. All of his relatives and friends have been turned into crystals by an insidious villain. And now the brave hero goes on a journey together with his loyal companion, Dragonfly Sparks. Together they will try to find the villain and save the dragon family.

In the second part, the protagonists decide to relax on the beach, as they are fed up with the prolonged rainy season. They pass through a portal and find themselves in an unknown world where the evil sorcerer rules. Now Spyro has no time to rest. He must get busy helping his new friends.

In the final part of the trilogy little Spyro and his kin are preparing to celebrate the great event – the Year of the Dragon. But the celebration is threatened when all the dragon's eggs are stolen by a cunning sorceress. Only a brave hero can save the world.

Advantages and disadvantages

Games from Spyro Reignited Trilogy attract users with gorgeous visuals. The action unfolds in bright and colorful worlds that mesmerize with their beauty. In addition, the benefits of the project should include:

Of the shortcomings most often noted is the almost complete absence of new locations and quests. Although for some the exact transfer of the old story in a new wrapper, on the contrary, it looks like an impressive plus.
