VAIL VR

Vail VR is an incredible virtual reality multiplayer shooter game with some impressive competitive applications. This title strongly emphasizes tactical gunplay, forcing the player to think like they are actually on the battlefield. Just running around and shooting at everything that moves won’t win you this game, and 360 no-scopes might be doable, but that kind of showboating wont help against a team that is working together like cogs in a well-oiled killing machine. If you are looking for a high-octane shooter that takes itself and you seriously, then you are going to adore Vail VR. Let’s jump into it.

Gameplay

So, as I explained, Vail VR is a tactical virtual reality game. This means it shares some similarities with titles like BONEWORKS, but is a tad more serious with the delivery. It’s like a multiplayer version of Blood & Truth, with a similar design and style as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Your objective is to defeat the enemy; how you do that is primarily up to you and your team. But that is the crux of it; your team. You and whoever you have chosen to fight with will need to be switched on and ready for battle.

Communication is key and you will need to come together as a team to win. There are a few mechanics that separate this game from other VR titles. For instance, this title offers you the ability to bounce grenades around corners, throw magazines to teammates, climb ladders, vault over obstacles, ride ziplines, defy gravity on jump pads, and much more. You will have to take all of this and formulate a strategy to defeat enemy teams with some out of the box thinking.

Visuals

Visually, this game is perfectly serviceable. Its not going to win any awards for being lifelike in realism, but its not exactly an ugly game either. The characters look interesting, the guns look great and the environment is unique and well-designed, you can’t really complain about it. One of the things I specifically enjoyed, was the players ability to see your own arms. Many VR games make it so you can only see your hands, and that can sometimes take you out of the action a little, but this game does not do that and instead provides you with a better understanding of where your limbs are in the space around you.

Multiplayer

The multiplayer aspect of this is without a doubt the best bit. The unique selling point is that you are able to jump into a game with teams of five and blast away. After that, you are able to go into the social hubs, which allow you to unwind after an intense game. Challenge friends in mini-games, show off gun and avatar, and customize your experience as you celebrate a win.

Conclusion

A fantastic VR game and another reason to pick up your headset once again.
