Arena Shooters

Games Total: 218

Arena Shooters are a genre that we love, hence this whole section is dedicated to them! An arena shooter is a fast-paced game that is often thought of as a first-person shooter and to be honest, an FPS arena shooter is more common, but there are also 3rd person games in this genre too! Typically, they take place in some kind of enclosed space. We have a ton of games in this category, close to 200 and we know that it can be hard to decide which one you should play next. That is why we have decided to share with you guys the arena shooters that we are all big fans of and think are well worth your time giving a try.

We thought that we had to start with Unreal Tournament as when most people think about what an arena shooter is, this is typically the first one that comes to mind. While we have the original Unreal, you may want to try one of the other games such as Unreal Tournament 2003 or Unreal Tournament 3 if you want an arena shooter that is a little more refined than what the original Unreal title was.

Another game that we feel has to be talked about when looking at the best arena shooters is Quake. To be honest, as great as that original game is, we would recommend playing something like Quake III Arena which was developed with being a hardcore arena shooter in mind. This game still has a dedicated following today. While it can be competitive, this is one of those games that is a lot of fun to play, even if you are not all that great at it.

If you are already familiar with many of the top arena shooters and want something with a style all of its own, we highly recommend that you check out Boomerang X. This is such a wild and crazy game with a really unique art style and weapons that are like boomerangs! It is the kind of thing that sounds weird and looks even weirder when you check out a trailer, but this is just so much fun to play, especially if you can get some banter going with your friends while playing.

For you sci-fi fans out there who love your arena shooters to offer pure balls to the wall action, Splitgate is a somewhat recent game that is really building up a following. What makes this game stand out from all the rest is its portal mechanics! This is not only a lot of fun, especially when you can use it to get the drop on someone. It adds an extra level of skill to the game where players who are willing to master it can feel unstoppable! This is a game that has a pretty strong following online so you are never going to struggle getting into a game of this.

With its roguelike elements, Deadlink is one of the coolest and most awesome looking arena shooters you will ever play. This game is just cool as ice! It has a very stylish cyberpunk vibe about it and it features fast-paced running and gunning action which thanks to the roguelike systems it has offers you a real risk and reward thing as you play. This is the perfect game for you if you want something that is fun, but also skill based. It is the kind of game where you do have to put in a bit of work to get the best out of it, but those who have tend to love it and are in with this for the long haul!

We love how we have games like Dusk here that are clear throwbacks to the classic arena shooters like the original Doom and even stuff like the attitude filled Duke Nukem 3D. What is so neat about this is that it has a real 90s style about it. Not just the epic pixel art that is used for the visuals, but the awesome fast paced first-person shooter gameplay too. This is the kind of game where you shoot first and then worry about what the hell it was that was coming towards you!

Those are just a few of our personal favorites for you to give a try. We are always looking to add more epic arena shooters to our list and at four pages long already, this is one of the biggest collection of games we have on the site!
