That said, Wild West Dynasty doesn't aim to emulate what Red Dead Redemption has done. On the contrary: in this game, you make up your own wild west stories to live through.

The game does have some story missions and an overarching campaign, but they're secondary to the whole "live life as a cowboy" mentality.

Total Immersion

Wild West Dynasty takes players on an epic journey in the wild west. At first, they begin as a loner, making ends meet with whatever they can find on their journeys. However, as the game progresses, needs such as establishing a settlement and keeping your resources in check will become essential for survival.

Even though the game might seem like just another cowboy shooter with some town-building mechanics here and there, that's the complete opposite of what Wild West Dynasty tries to achieve. This is a game that's all about simulating what life in this period was like, as close to reality as it can.

If you were expecting massive shootouts and high noon moments, you might be better off sticking to what Rockstar and Red Dead Redemption 2 have to offer. What you'll get, however, is hundreds of hours' worth of solid dialogue and consequences that align with the type of character you've created. It really is role-playing at its best.

The wild west is an unforgiven locale – one where the unprepared have a near-zero chance of survival. If you thought that outlaws and venomous snakes are the only things deadly enough to kill you in the American wildlands, you better think again!

From unrelenting climates to deadly maladies, it pays to be ready in the wild west. When the inevitable comes, however, the best course of action to ensure that your legacy lives on is to leave an heir. That's where the "Dynasty" part of the title comes from.

As your character settles down and finds a bit of rest in the unforgiving rest, your legacy is the only thing that will go on once your adventure is over. And it's a legacy that you built yourself through every action you take in this exceptional RPG.
