If you are getting a sense of familiarity with Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes it is probably because it started life out as a mobile game. Well now you can play it on PC and console with enhanced features, better graphics and a generally more fleshed out (or ripped of flesh, this is zombies we are talking about here!) game. If you love adventure style pinball games then this is a game that you are about to have a whole lot of undead fun with1

Zombies, Zombies, Zombies!

The whole premise of Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is that you have to clear the land from zombies. Rather than going all Walking Dead on you with gross out zombies, we have a more adorable kind of style here and it just oozes charm and is sure to make you smile and laugh the whole time you are playing.

Heroes Unite

One of the things that I think is a lot of fun with Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes is that there are ten playable characters you can choose from, each with their own ability/personality. For example, we have Burnjamin who is a pyro, Pennie who is a princess penguin, Rusty who is a blacksmith, and Relm who is a singer. Each character has stats that will alter the way that they play. I love the style of each character and they each have so much charm, you will probably want to give each one a try.

Pinball Fantasies

The main gameplay on offer here is that of a pinball adventure game. Think of the Super Mario Pinball Land or Metroid Prime Pinball and you will have an idea of what to expect with Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes. You have to shoot at the various zombies and targets that are on each board, you have various resources that you can use, special areas you can hit, and so on so there is a great deal going on in each stage. There are also some pretty epic boss fights (11) and these bosses and all of their minions have a ton of personality to them.

Who Got A Rogue Like In My Pinball Game?

There are also rogue like elements to Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes which is something I find very interesting. There is an overworld map for the four different worlds that make up the game and this is randomized so you never know how things are going to play out when you start a new game. This is a really cool addition, I have to be honest, I would have been cool just going from table to table, but this greatly fleshes things out and I think that is really cool.

Let me tell you, I had so much fun with the PC version of Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes that I also picked the game up for the Nintendo Switch as well! I have to say a game like this is just perfect for the Switch. The pinball action here is a lot of fun, but that is only part of the game! There is way more to this game than you would think and I have found myself pretty addicted to it.

Pros:

There are ten quirky playable characters
The zombies are dorky and have a lot of charm
It has rogue like elements to it
The actual pinball gameplay is fun and you can really aim your shots which makes you feel like a pinball wizard

Cons:

I do feel you have to at least have a little love for pinball to get fully into it
I would love it if they made a sequel with more lore and cut scenes as the whole game has a lot of charm to it
