Bendy and the Dark Revival

The sequel to Bendy and the Dark Revival. Returning to the style of play that made its fans fall in love with the beginning of the series, this survival horror game is a new experience that fans of the first installment are sure to enjoy. As for new players, the game is made in such a way that they won't get lost in the story, even if they didn't get to play the first version.

Story

While working late into the night on a new scene for the cartoon "Bendy" Audrey, the game's protagonist, encounters a janitor on her way out. She didn't know that he was planning to lead her to the studio, which was lost years ago in a maze of corridors. Now she must fight for her life, facing puzzles, strange creatures and powerful bosses in this ink-filled world. Who would have thought that the ink used to paint Bendy and his friends would fuel an entire realm of paint monsters, various entities, and a horrible ink demon.

Gameplay

At the beginning, the game offers a few simple scares and introduces you to a basic item retrieval system. This system will be used quite often, as this type of puzzle is dominant throughout the gameplay. In addition, the puzzles in this game come down to finding the right code for the door.

In the end, you will get your weapon: the Ghent pipe. You can start using this pipe to fight the enemies you encounter, but it won't defeat them all. You will also be able to use this tool to charge energy and crack security doors. Along the way you'll even find enough parts to improve the Ghent pipe at one of the many improvement stations, and this will open up more possibilities for it.

The enemies you may encounter range from small inky people who jump out and start hitting you, to demonic creatures. The larger the enemy, the harder it is to defeat. But as you progress through the game and collect useful items, the gamer gains new abilities for his character.

Larger enemies, such as the Inky Demon, will simply devour you if they catch you. You will have a few seconds to hide when a warning appears. However, if you are killed by an enemy that doesn't consume you, you will simply be revived in the nearest ink fountain.

This game allows you to go back if you want to explore certain areas once you reach the end. You can quickly navigate to areas you've passed with the ink fountains or take the train back to town. Returning to areas you've already been in is somewhat useful, as you can find more collectibles, items, and upgrades.

Sound and Visual Effects

From the soundtrack to the voice acting, there was definitely a real effort put into this game to make it sound great. Each character has a distinct tone and accent, and each enemy has a unique sound for both movement and dialogue.

As for the art style, it is certainly one of the major contributing factors to the popularity of the original game. Giving the exterior world a 50's cartoon art style along with the massive use of ink, as if it were a life-giving and life-taking substance, is a notable and unique factor that makes up the Bendy series.
