Bushiden is an action-packed 2D platformer, with pixel graphics, that takes place in a cybernetic world, and your objective is to search for your missing sister, while also defeating an evil army that has been resurrected by Gaoh. This game is filled with nostalgia for more experienced games, as its graphics and gameplay will take you back in time. Bushiden will take you back to the time when games of the same genre became extremely popular, with beautiful pixel art, and a super fun combat system. In this journey, you will come across all types of upgrades to help you take on this evil army.

Cyber Attack

After finding out that your sister has gone missing, you embark on a journey to go out and search for her. But during that search, you come across rumors that say Gaoh has been brought back to life, along with an evil army.

So now you will need to explore this city, while also fighting against this army, and to make your mission easier, you can find cybernetic enhancements that will make you more powerful, and will help you destroy your enemies with more ease. Defeating bosses will also grant you new abilities, that can not only help you fight but can also give you more mobility, allowing you to reach new places.

Bushiden is extremely similar to games like Metroid, and it feels a lot like, and also looks like Strider. So if you’re a huge fan of the old Strider games, Bushiden will be able to give you the feeling of playing it, but with a lot of different mechanics, and a completely different story. It is fun to see modern games that still make use of pixel art, it brings a unique charm to the game, and also has a nostalgic feeling to them.

Summary

Sadly, the game will only have seven levels to explore, and an extra prologue area. However, there still isn’t any information on how long these levels will be, and you will be able to revisit them once you finish the game, so that you can explore all of it by using new abilities. But there are plenty of awesome bosses for you to fight against, and you will be able to learn new attacks and spells for you to use.

Bushiden is set to be released in 2021, but in case it gets delayed, so you will be able to play it soon. The game nails the old-school era look, and it will make you feel like you’re playing old games.

Hopefully, the game will have a lot of replayability and will offer a lot more after you finish all seven stages, and maybe in the future the game can release some DLC, and if there aren’t any difficulty settings, maybe release some more when you finish the game. Bushiden is going to be released for Windows, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
