A Hollywood Story

Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011 follows a hunter named Cole Rainsford and his father. The game spans decades of time, beginning in 1982 with a younger version of Samson Rainsford, the father character. While hunting in Uganda, he encounters a demon named the Kaftar, and watches as it kills his friends and attacks him, leaving him scarred for life.

Fast forward to 2001, and Samson Rainsford is now hunting with his two sons, Cole and Adrian. After an encounter with possessed wolves, Adrian dies as Cole watches and Samson doesn’t speak to his father for a decade until they meet back up in Africa in 2011. There, the possessed animals rear their head once more, and the father and son duo join forces to take down the Kafter that is behind it once and for all!

Classic Hunting Gameplay

The entire game takes place in the first-person perspective, much like Cabela’s Big Game Hunter and similar games. However, instead of the standard shooting gallery presentation, the player has full control over the main character’s movement during the explosive story campaign. You’ll explore large areas and take on animals as you feel fit.

However, Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011 also contains classic shooting gallery sections and bonus levels. You can team up with friends to enjoy the game’s multi-level multiplayer missions as well if you’re getting lonely!

You’ll encounter a ton of different animals in Cabela’s Dangerous Hunts 2011. There are 22 different species that can be hunted in the story mode, as well as 9 others that are exclusive to the arcade mode. That’s a lot of animals, and you’ll see all of them across 12 different levels.
