The story of James Lee Quatermain

The game follows the journey of James Lee Quatermain, a seasoned adventurer who is similar to other well-known heroes such as Indiana Jones and Nathan Drake. Quatermain’s fame stems from his great-grandfather’s tales of supernatural phenomena, which many believe to be nothing more than made-up nonsense. However, as you progress through the game, you'll start to realize that perhaps the stories were indeed true…

Your overarching mission in Deadfall Adventures is to find a lost treasure known as The Heart of Atlantis. Through the eyes of James Quatermain, you'll fight enemies, solve puzzles, and attempt to reach the treasure in time before the pesky Nazis get their hands on it first. It may sound like a tough task, but you won't be alone. You'll have the help of your former colleague, Jennifer Goodwin, who works for an organization known as the Artifact Collection Agency. The story will take you across the Arctic and through the jungles of Guatemala, but the ultimate goal is Egypt. That’s where the artifact is hidden, deep within a deadly temple.

What to expect from the gameplay

Deadfall Adventures is a first-person shooter and involves a lot of fast-paced gunplay and action. Set in the 1930s, the game features detailed weaponry appropriate for the time that is sure to fully immerse you in the gameplay. There are 18 in-game weapons that you can use, catering to all kinds of playstyles. You’ll be coming up against various enemies in a range of environments, so you’ll have to be tactical and use your weapons to the best of your ability. Be prepared for anything.

The thrilling action is broken up by thought-provoking puzzles, where you'll need to use your wits to progress. As well as a gun, you're equipped with all sorts of other adventuring equipment that'll help you on your quest. You've got a compass and treasure maps so you can navigate areas easily and a flashlight that'll illuminate your surroundings and help you solve puzzles.

Character upgrades are also available, including weapon enhancements to boost things such as your accuracy and damage.
