As you solve crimes, you'll see that some of them are interconnected by characters, locations, and even events that may relate to each other. And this means to solve one case, you might have to solve a completely different one to get some important intel.

Of course, a good detective always has a great set of tools at hand. And you are not the exception in Detective Simulator, as you have all kinds of gadgets that'll help you on your job. As you progress and earn more money by solving cases, you can expand your gadget arsenal by buying the most modern pieces and tools. From computer hacking tools to good old magnifying glass and lock picking kits. Even some materials to get your disguise game even better.

A realistic simulation?

Detective Simulator retains a lot of the liberty and realism you'd expect to see from a good simulation game. But they also include a lot more video game mechanics to make the gameplay more fun. There's a story, a plot, and there's a narrative, which is not common in most simulation games, but rather of an adventure-style title.

This title is a great way to make you feel as if you’re the world-class detective Sherlock Holmes, even though there are plenty of games where you can actually play as the character, the most recent being Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. But now you’re not playing to be the popular detective from the novels, you are actually the detective yourself, and that adds to the charm of Detective Simulator.

Detective Simulator is a great change from many of the boring simulation games that have us constantly repeating tasks over and over without a storyline. Sure, it may be a bit strange, but after all, being a real-life detective is not as they paint it in the movies.
