Harmony's Odyssey

Harmony's Odyssey is one of the more unique and fun looking games to be released in the latter part of 2022. This is like a child’s picture storybook that has come to life and it is a game that just has a ton of charm to it. Despite the rather cutesy and almost “kiddie” kind of vibe that the visuals of the game have going on. This is a fiendish (but also a great deal of fun) action puzzle game that is going to really test your puzzle solving skills and also make you appreciate the fact that these fantasy creatures live an ordinary life just like the rest of us do!

One Problem At A Time

The story of Harmony's Odyssey could not be any cuter. Taking place in a fantasy world, you are a little witch who along with this rather cheeky cat will be going from place to place trying to help the fantasy characters of this very strange world. Each area is its own world/biome or whatever you want to call it and each world and set of characters that you come across is going to have their own story and set of problems that they need your help with!

A Piece Of The Puzzle

There are a few different aspects to the gameplay of Harmony's Odyssey, but the main one I want to focus on here is the puzzles. I mean literal puzzles too! Each “world” that you find yourself in is like its own little diorama and it is all messed up. Using a tile-based system, the player needs to try and figure out how to move things around so that they are in the right order and so that they can all meet in the right place. It is the kind of thing that sounds easy, but when you have dragons getting stuck in traffic, a basketball game with bulls going on, and other crazy antics, it really forces you to think outside of the box.

More Than Just Puzzle Pieces

As Harmony's Odyssey is a game that is dealing with some very interesting characters, the puzzle solving diorama worlds are just a small part of what you are going to have to contend with here. There are several mini-games here too ranging from one that is kind of like Pac-Man, one where you need to spot the difference, and one where our little witch is taking time out playing some video games herself! There is a lot of variety to the overall gameplay here and it is going to make playing each new level a really exciting thing!

Every Good Book Needs An Ending!

Visually, I have to say that Harmony's Odyssey is one of the better-looking games that I have seen over the last few months. I know that “technically” at first glance, this may not look like anything special. However, the level of imagination that has brought all these crazy characters and the places they call home to life is just incredible. The game has such a wonderful style to it, as I said, it does look like a child’s storybook and I mean that in a very flattering way. Actually, it looks so good, it would have been awesome if they could have made some kind of artbook for this game.

Pros:

• I love how crazy each world in the game is
• You get to meet some very interesting characters
• I love the way that this game looks
• The puzzle solving you have to do here is fun, but also tricky

Cons:

• If you are not into puzzles, you may not get super into this game
• Some may think that the art style is a bit too “kiddie” for them
