Lies Of P

While we aren’t sure exactly when the upcoming game Lies of P will be released, it seems that given the developers timeline that fans can expect to play this game in late 2023 or early 2024. From what we’ve seen in the trailer the game opens onto the desolate city of Krat where an ominous plague has taken out almost all life.

Pinocchio isn’t the same version which we see through Disney movies, but now a mechanoid warrior set to destroy the evil mechanoids roaming the land, killing all signs of life in their path. The lies he tells only brings him closer to his goal of becoming more like a real human being. While Geppetto traverses the baren land in search of parts for his masterpiece, mechanoid Pinocchio, he creates a far more dangerous version of the fictional character which you may know of from your childhood. Atleast this time it seems Pinocchio has the ability and determination to destroy the evil forces at hand.

Gameplay

From what we know so far, the game looks to be a dark, dystopian world in which humanity is on the brink of collapse. Stakes high enough for you yet? Well it’s up to you to control the famous puppet and use his powers to destroy the evil which plagues the land, while also searching for what makes people human. This game has a similar look to that of the game Bloodborne in which many similarities can be found.

While you are freely able to explore the world, crafting new equipment and weapons will be imperative in your journey. Throughout the game there will be ways to become more human through lies your character tells. ‘Lying Quests’ will certainly have a big aspect into the adventure as you strive to quell the darkness in Krat while also discovering yourself as you grow ever more human.

In Game Features & Aspects

The game is setup in an illustrious and creative world which is clear to have been thought over with great detail. Plot elements are expected to be driven by player decisions as there is said to be multiple endings to the story, which is always an exciting element to any game. Having the ability to ‘choose your own story’ will ensure this game is one that fans will be playing over and over again.

Through the aforementioned lying quests, you will have the ability to affect the outcome of your story. This paired with the overall character progression system will make each experience slightly different, therefore allowing players to try and beat the game with a number of various strategies and tactical decisions.

Pros:

• Detailed, creative storyline which is sure to be as exciting as the actual gameplay and combat aspects.
• Graphics and animations waste no time at grabbing your attention and not letting go for the full ride, well done by the developers.

Cons:

• Overall story seems similar to that of Bloodborne yet since we are only able to glimpse into the world through cinematic trailers, the true extent of this is currently unkown.
