All of the incredible action and heart-wrenching story of Marvel’s Spider-Man finally makes its way to the PC in the form of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. Now Peter Parker’s unbelievable adventure that was once exclusive to PlayStation consoles can now be enjoyed in higher quality on gaming PCs.
This new version of the game contains all of the visual upgrades and extra content that was available in the PS5 release, with even more features on top to make use of the extra horsepower and capabilities provided by modern GPUs.
With all of this considered, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered might be the definitive version of this exceptional experience. If you’re looking forward to swinging between the skyscrapers of New York City and stopping crime dead in its tracks, then here is everything you need to know about Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
The Entire Story
In making its way to the PC, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered has the benefit of containing Peter Parker’s entire journey, including all of the previously released DLC content. That means that on top of the 15-20 hours of the main campaign, you also get the 5-8 hour City That Never Sleeps chapters included.
So, if you’re mainlining the story mode, you can expect about 20 hours of gameplay. But, if you’re completing every side quest and hunting down all of those collectibles, you’re looking at upwards of 30 hours!
Do Anything a Spider Can
Part of what made Marvel’s Spider-Man so successful upon its original release was Insomniac Games’ implementation of all of the classic Spider-Man powers. You won’t be swinging on web lines that don’t connect to anything like so many other Spider-Man games or even his appearance in Marvel’s Avengers.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man, you’ll experience the speed, grace, and thrill of web-swinging as an experienced Peter Parker who has been protecting the city for many years by the time the game begins. And on PC, you are even granted extra fluidity thanks to an unlocked framerate.
Now, this is where Marvel’s Spider-Man really shines on its new platform. This transition comes with a number of new features that affect both the visuals and the gameplay experience, but what you will immediately notice is the upgraded graphics.
As previously mentioned, the game now has an unlocked framerate, so gamers with high refresh rate monitors can go far beyond the base game’s 60 frames per second. But that’s not all, there are also a ton of graphics options to accommodate hardware configurations of all kinds, and features like Nvidia DLSS and DLAA to squeeze the most performance out of GPUs that support those features. And you'll likely need them if you want the upgraded shadows, ray-tracing, and other quality options turned way up!
